two entirely disconnected thoughts...
ok so there's (1) "i'm singing in the rain", (2) "raindrops keep falling on my head", (3) "listen to the rhythm of the falling rain", (4) "rainy days and mondays always get me down ... are there more?? =)
ok 2nd disconnected thought... i finally (!) shakes head discovered that it is possible to ignore registering my own visits to this site from my site counter!! yayyy.. meaning i'll get more accurate visitor counts now... heheh since i think probably 1/2 of the previous total was due to self-traffic =) only thing is i had to reset my counter so wasted.. ah well heres to more accurate counting ><

raindrops keep falling on my head..
we've been having ridiculously heavy rain for the past two days! amazing.. and i totally love it.. it's been so heavy all you see when you look out of the window is a curtian of greyish-white - fast furious raindrops seemingly falling with a vengence =)
we've haven't had such rain in a long while... perhaps it's really due to global warming.. sigh i used to remember when such rains were far more frequent and came earlier in the year...
there was also a time when i remembered it would rain without fail almost every day in July, especially on days when i would have a race.. and everyone would be huddled in our blue windbreakers perched somewhere high up in the national stadium... it had almost become a running jinx : it's definitely going to rain whenever i was going to have a race...
but then suddenly it didn't hold true for long... in fact not only did it not rain the day i was going to run, it almost never rained at all during the week-and-a-half long championships! where did all the rain go?
i don't remember such rains in october.. july yes, december definitely, but never really in october.. if all these changes have been due to global warming, if indeed such changes can be brought upon in a space of a mere 10years, it is truly frightening...
then again i suppose we don't need to have visibility-reduced-to-5-meters sort of rain, a 4-day-straght-non-stop-rain (like the one we had sometime this 1/2 of the year i can't remember when) is fine by me too ><
