panic on the horizion...but for now...
ok... haven't written a single word of brit essay yet! arghss and this blog is turning into a complain abt homework blog! nooo...
actually i haven't even thought abt what points to write about! beat that!... sigh and well even though i'm not panicking now... i definitely will once it hits 6am and i'm still only 1/2 way through my essay... that's hoping i do make it to the 1/2 way point at 6... (hmm more likely it'll be at the 1/3 point...)
and i just spent the whole sunday watched movies! crazy? yes! worth it? yes! =) hee.. watching the jap Haunted School I... (it was good) , the Matrix (which is always interesting..) and Gattaca (staring the ever gorgeous Jude Law and Ethan Hawke!! swoon) -- moving, extremely touching and very thought-provoking...
imagine a world in which babies were engineered by tweaking their dna to weed out all the flaws... and 'normally' conceived babies are called 'children of god'... imagine a world where your job interviewed consisted of a genetic scan where the flawlessness of your dna was the sole criteria ... also, imagine a world where you were able to get a compatibility scan for potential lovers...
personally i think Gattaca is Andrew Niccol's (director of The Truman Show and the current virtual actress movie - Simone) best work... great cast, wonderful score and intriguing plot ...
hahah concert going is addictive! after tonight's show we were already planning: soo... when's the next round? =)
and (allow me to gush) the esplanade is sehr sehr groâartig und phantastisch! absolutely amazing and so pretty at night, when it's all lit!
