johnny wilkinson - my new hero. heart
was that the best final anyone could have hoped for or what! it was heart-thumping, hair-raising (and pulling), scream-filled and 100% adrenaline pumping..
i nearly died when australia equalled in the dying seconds of full time.. and equalled again in extra time. it all looked set for sudden death, when the magic legs of wilkinson sank the winning drop-kick..
however magical that last shot was, i thought his 2nd last kick was the best of the entire night's.. three-quarters? or at least more than half-way down the field.. and still he scored. i was stunned..
but that said, australia was equally magnificent, perhaps even more so.. their determination and discipline (i actually thought they had tighter passing than england.. but eh, i'm not rugby expert, so don't quote me on this).. kudos and more to the australians for giving us such a nail-biting match!
... ...
just surfing up whatever articles i could find on the rugby world cup final..
this was the best quote i came across:
(in response to the RAC, the british motoring association's estimation of a 60% drop in traffic due to everybody watching the final)
"A hedgehog could have crossed some roads in central London this morning."
anyone who has been to London and have gotten caught in its traffic jams will understand the full impact of this quote.. nodnod
another day of mindless terror in the world.. i just hope they don't bomb the hagia sophia.
it's a waste. a real waste. turkey is a beautiful, beautiful country.

just when i thought inuyasha and kagome were one of the sweetest anime couples around, along comes chidori and sousuke of Full Metal Panic! / FMP? Fumoffu fame.
the sweetest scene i've ever seen to date must be in ep.10 when chidori dressed up to act as sousuke's date in order to get him out of a dare.. it tops the episode when kagome decided she wanted to be with inuyasha even though he would never forget kikyo..
