it's not often you come across an exceptionally engaging and refreshingly brilliant book, but i did. picked up alastair reynold's diamond dogs, turquoise dayson a whim at Jurong Regional Library and devoured it in two sittings. space opera is a new genre to me, and i couldn't be happier being introduced to it in such an exciting way.

now, all i need to do is to get my hands on Revelation Space, Chasm City and Redemption Ark. Absolution Gap i already have and am itching to start on, once i finish the other two lib bks.

15 days to go, exactly 3 more working weeks before i'm done and it's off to japan, and subsequently, england.

excited abt the trips? definitely! and yet the melancholy is starting to set in. i like my boss. she's cool. we get along well. but in 15 days it'll be all over. too bad she can't afford to hire me for more. otherwise i'll stay on for longer... sigh..

talk abt depressing. as if i wasn't low enough. do we dare hope the sealed paper box found at Telok Blangah Hill isn't Huang Na's body? damn.
