it was obvious right from the start Taufik would win. it was impossible to ignore the fact that i was part of the numerous but lonely pockets of Sylvester fans in an ocean of Taufik supporters.

Taufik is good. Taufik is the better singer and the best performer. And he certainly deserves to win. I'm already damn proud he'll be representing us on the upcoming World Idol..

.. but, Sylvester is my idol. For the fact he's honest, himself and gave a helluva of a good performace last night, despite the recent bad press. For the effort and focus he displayed, to me he was already a winner. That and the fact watching him perform makes me smile.

the networks were so congested last night that for every 10 sms i tried to send, only 1 got through. to think, i'm still receiving the replies "Thank you for voting for Sly..". it's with a little witfulness that i open these replies--i voted, but it wasn't enough. and yet, i'm satisfied and not one whit ashamed to admit i voted, and not just once. what matters is i supported my idol.

i'm afraid i'm getting shallow again. i can feel it in my bones, in the empty, vast hollow that's currently occupying the heart of my soul. at times like these, i fear i've lost touch with my writing. it's disastrous for the simple reason that i'm intrinsically words and emotion. if i can't emote, if i can't write, i'm techinically dead. 'm hoping reading will water the barren desert of me.

this place needs an overhaul, but i'm too lazy.
