was just thinking that perhaps i ought to lengthen my list of read blogs... okok so someone calls it an 'invasion of privacy' =P hahah but i mean if pple blog in the first place they must be aware that pple ie. strangers will read it right?? =) heheh...

but truth is i love reading other pple's blogs.. it's an insight, albeit limited, into other pple's lives.. how they think, what they do/did, what they like, enjoy ... =) its just sehr interessant lor? (hmm ok i just managed to lump german and singlish together hahah what would my Lehrerin think? >< )

sorry if i sound invasive or even wako... haha but getting to a certain degree of familiarity with someone, esp knowing how a person ticks.. what he/she likes.. just gives me this high =)

hehe tha's why im so in love with a certain someone -- he's a never-ending trove of treasures to discover.. i just love knowing how he ticks ><

love it too when pple know me well enough to know my likes and dislikes on a higher level than just knowing ... get it? hee.. but yar.. love it cos that means yay! we know each other that well enough =)) it's just like the most natural and most healthy high available =)

the bomb blast in bali - perennial and hugely popular tourist spot... suddenly turned into a death trap for the 182 dead and even more wounded...

whatever happened to peace? ... and bali of all places -- you'd think palm trees swaying in the breeze, soft white sand, blue waters, calm, not death, terror and fear ... all gone now... can't even begin to think of the repercussions to bali's tourist industry... ! =(

and because of that.. personal family plans have changed too... no matter how much we try to block out world affairs (notice i don't mean, ignore world affairs) and tell ourselves to continue a normal life.. we cant! we just can't... and since italy just received a security threat, we're bummed for this year's annual yr-end holiday...

sigh dreams and excitement of seeing venice.. postponed indefinitely... sigh... so where else can we go?? is the world safe anymore?... sigh

it seems like the birthday happiness is still hanging around.. had lunch with a few friends today - a surprise bday celebration.. =) and i think we spent like abt 2hrs? catching up and just talking.

i love my friends.. i love being with them, being able to talk about almost anything and everything ... we don't really seem to run out of things to say even after 5 yrs =) i love it especially when we talk about things in the past, because it was a past that we shared =) and i like having good friends i can share that with... it gives a sense of rootedness and satisfaction -- i came from somewhere, we all came from somewhere (from being strangers to friends)...

i also like very much the sense of familiarity when with this circle of friends... we know each other not quite inside out, but enough to know how one will react, or how one speaks... little things like that which give rise to that warm fuzzy feeling ... and i hope that with time and in the future i will be able to say i know this person so well ... =)

psst.. giggle now i have pretty new shoes! whoohoo.. =)

and... note to self: have to keep up with my other friends! =)
