meantime..what have i been up to? obsessing over slayers - some magic fantasy sort of anime.. had my hopes of owning the 3 season (26 eps each) series crushed. friend's going to japan so asked her if she could help me look-see & possibly buy it.. then i found on the 'net that the dvd boxset of just 1season already costs US $160!! >< ouch big time.. siggghh

hmm ok first off, time for a quote change.. =) and am gonna seriously sit down to play around with concepts for new layout, cos i think i've reached saitation threshold with this one grin..

anyway since today was a magnificent shopping day (zil: after u all left i called my sis hehe she met me and i went back to zara.. enuff said) and saw stuff i really woud like, i thought: it's time to do a wish-list. ok not that i'm 'pressurising' pple to get them for me, but i think it's a useful thing to have so that when and if pple have (er is there a less harsh, more polite-sounding word? hehe) to buy a gift for me, they'll actually know/be aware of what i want .. er, for eg. this year's bday. told my classmates and friends that i wanted to get 2baby guinea pigs (gps) .. and er i told them that after i got them, and er abt 3mths before my birthday..

but you know, i was frankly very surprised by their reactions. most were along the lines of: "silly girl! sure lar, it's ok.. good also, then don't have to think of what to get you" or "hehe you save us the trouble of thinking what to get you"...

i don't think i really thanked them all for it properly, but even if i did, i still would like to thank them for it again. it really meant a lot to me.. getting the babies (esp. after maisys..)and their 'relief' at my (to me) ludicrious and extremely weird request.. thanks you all...

my sis says/has said/still says that the reason i don't have guys lining up to chase me is because i'm intimidating...

reeeeally? hmm.. she also says it's cos i always seem so sure of myself, so confident, so self-possessed that if there are (actually) interested guys, they might find it hard to or wonder if they'll be able to live up to me.. to measure up to me...

hmm.. i think i need to run this by a guy friend..
