new asia bar tonight. and my first brush with real alcohol intoxication. too fast drinking on an empty stomache. it was interesting, to say the least, and i discovered tequila and i don't mix. oh, and drunk people are funny to watch. how can you allow yourself to get so stoned you don't know what you're doing? high and buzzed is one thing, but flat-out, concussed drunk? unfathomable.
but the company was good and so was the music. but when conversation became impossible unless we were all shouting, we left for the quiet and calm of the esplanade.
fun, interesting, an exploration of a new place. all in all, it was ok. but i much prefer the ambience of indochine.. then again, both places engender different types of fun..
on a less flippant/ditzy and more cerebral note, we had a really interesting conversation about religion in general over an ahem overly long lunch today--gauri, tamin, eric and i. i really do have amazing agents who are willing to share, who listen, who are interested in discussing about things seriously, who respect what i say, and who i have ridiculous fun with.
things aren't going to be the same once gauri goes. i love that girl. she really is the heart of the office. and we bounce off each other so brilliantly. we're such a team. i'm dreading 24th Nov, but things do change, and we survive.

last night here, forever. we popped by the new place just now. it's all freshly painted, bright, open. new lights installed. new wardrobes installed. all ready for the moving in. i guess i'm liking it more and more. but still, i knew i was going to come back here (home) at the end.
unfortunately, tomorrow it won't be so. that would be home. there will be no more coming back, forever. i want to be here to the last, till the very last thing is moved out of that familiar front door, to walk down the stairs one last time.
it's so hard to say goodbye.
for the pig, she said she'll be leaving all her memories of this place behind. for her, it was a different experience, not always happy, not always good. for her, the move is a new slate, clean, empty and filled with promise of the future. i, on the other hand, am clinging on lovingly...a chapter i don't want to end, a door i don't want to close, memories i still want to make.
but i know all will be good, eventually. things change, seasons come and go, andlife goes on.
"Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. But unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept it. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer. - Shunryu Suzuki
