story #1 on a rainy day..

i don't know why, but i was incredibly happy to have been able to use my brolly on wed and thurs. it had been a dead-weight in my bag for weeks. i was like: yes! finally! .. then, when i unfurled it, it promtly broke, in a thankfully not totally unusuable way..

story #2 on a rainy day in a bus..

staring out at unfamiliar scenery through rain-streaked windows, in the evening, reminds me of the time we knowingly got ourselves lost in Germantown..

..or perhaps it was just a major case of wishful thinking: ok so this bus kinda goes to where we need to get, nevermind that the route displayed is totally unfamiliar and probably (which it turned out to be) right out of the way.

it was fun in a thrillingly scary way. getting lost in a foreign country, at night, isn't a very smart idea. but i was with him, and i was actually having fun--it felt like the real adventure i'd never had. possibly it also had something to do with that sense of freedom one feels when away from home and family..

that other night, on our way home after watching kitchen stories, my sis and i came up with a new category to place my body-type into.

usually, we have the pear-shaped body, the apple-shaped ones and of course, the hour-glass figure.. i'm neither. i'm a funnel chortle

oh and continuing in the discover-descriptive-words-to-describe-yourself trend, i'm an oblong with 3 smooth sides and one flat.. the sort, which if you poke with your finger, rolls along for a while till it hits the flat side and starts gathering moss. till the next poke of course.
