the rehumanising of self...
i know pple extoll the virtues of doing things the 'human' way.. like writing personal letters instead of email-ing. calling a friend instead of msg-ing. meeting face to face instead of icq-ing..
but, sometimes all you want to do is retreat from the world and shut everybody out and reduce all that human-contact. it takes some guts to put yourself at the mercy of the world, day in, day out.. there are always pple looking, judging, watching.. so much so that sometimes you feel lost. that you've lost yourself somewhere, lost yourself to the world, that you don't belong to yourself anymore..
it's then that i find that sitting down at my comp, writing, surfing, helps me rehumanise, rediscover myself. sitting there with only my own thoughts and a silent, non-judgemental machine, for company is actually good..
'me-time': where you restablish links with/to yourself.. =]

sometimes.. when you're not feeling too good, not feeling up to facing the world, all you need are your comp, and the quiet solitude of your mind..
.. and someone you love, on the other end of icq and then there's peace..
