ok so i lied. i'm not exactly back yet. have been feeling empty, half-full and incomplete the past few days yet full of things to say, to him, that i'm left with nothing for here.

hopefully that'll change soon.

was thinking of bread today and how it makes so much more sense baking your own bread over there and not here.

anyway, after tomorrow, once he's gone, i will be back.

i have been called romantic because of this verse (from The Fellowship of the Ring), which i use for the signature at the end of my emails:

"i sit by the fire and think of people long ago of people who will see a world that i will never know

but all the times i sit and think of times that were before, i listen for returning feet and voices at the door."

romantic? i'd rather the word emotional. but melancholic, yes. elegiac, definitely. stuff that goes straight to the heart gets me, always.
