just finished reading the sandman series..
.. perhaps when i'm not too full of it, i'll write about the experience of reading the series. for those who haven't read it, or put off reading it (like i did) for the reason of not wanting to start something you know will hurt when it ends.. still, go and read it. you won't regret it.

a powerful quote that speaks to me personally..
"She is a friend of my mind. She gather me, man. The pieces I am, she gather them and give them back to me in all the right order. It's good, you know, when you got a woman who is a friend of your mind."

hah.. i feel empowered! seeing words appear on screen as i type.. it's a truly powerful feeling.
ok. i take back all the griping i've done over: "i don't mind going for lectures. really! i just hate doing the homework."
who truly loves homework? you can enjoy doing it when thoughts flow your way, when the dreaded writer's block crumbles like dust, but love it? my take is that it's so much more a love-hate rls that a student has with homework.
you get good grades, you feel all that sweat and toil, late nights, nightmares about homework are justified. you don't do well, and it's back to "i only like attending the lectures."
after 7 semesters. things are getting a leetle old, but that said, i'd rather be a poor struggling student than to have to work. urgh!
